COLOR CARE GUIDE

  • PURPLE SHAMPOO: Use a purple shampoo 3-5 shampoos to help counteract brassy or yellow tones. Purple shampoo contains violet pigments that neutralize the warm tones, keeping your blonde hair looking cool and vibrant.

HAIR MASK: Blonde hair can be more prone to dryness and damage. Incorporate a hydrating hair mask into your hair care routine every 7-10 days to nourish and hydrate your hair.

PROTECT FROM UV RAYS: Sun exposure can cause blonde hair to become dull and brassy. Protect your hair from UV rays by wearing a hat or using hair products with UV filters. If you'll be spending a lot of time in the sun, consider using leave-in conditioners or protective sprays to shield your hair

MINIMIZE HEAT STYLING: Frequent heat styling can damage blonde hair and make it more prone to breakage. Whenever possible, air-dry your hair or use heat-protectant products before blow-drying, straightening, or curling your hair. Opt for lower heat settings on your styling tools to prevent unnecessary damage.

AVOID OVER-WASHING: Washing your hair too often can strip away natural oils, leaving blonde hair looking dry and lackluster. Aim to wash your hair every 2-3 days or as needed to maintain cleanliness. Consider using dry shampoo between washes to extend the time between wash days.

PROTECT FROM CHLORINE AND SALTWATER: Chlorine from swimming pools and saltwater from the ocean can cause blonde hair to become dull and discolored. Before swimming, wet your hair with clean water and apply a leave-in conditioner or oil to create a barrier between your hair and the pool or ocean water.

GET REGULAR TRIMS: To keep your blonde hair looking healthy and fresh, schedule regular trims every 6-8 weeks. Trimming the ends helps remove split ends and prevents them from traveling up the hair shaft, maintaining the overall health of your blonde locks.

    PRODUCT RECOMMENDATIONS:

    • Purple Shampoo

    • Blonde Shampoo & Condtioner

    • Hydrating Hair Mask

    • Heat Protectant

    • Dry Shampoo

All hair products are available for purchase during your scheduled hair appointment.

  • USE COLOR-SAFE SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER: Opt for shampoos and conditioners that are specifically formulated for color-treated hair. These products help to maintain the richness and depth of your brunette color while minimizing color fading.

AVOID EXCESSIVE WASHING: Washing your hair too frequently can strip away the color and natural oils. Try to reduce the frequency of washing and consider using dry shampoo between washes to refresh your hair without water.

WASH WITH COOL WATER: When washing your hair, use cool or lukewarm water instead of hot water. Hot water can cause the color molecules to escape from the hair cuticles more quickly, leading to color fading. Rinse your hair thoroughly to remove any product residue without excessively rubbing or scrubbing.

DEEP CONDITION REGULARLY: To keep your color hydrated and vibrant, use a deep conditioner that's specifically designed for color-treated hair to help lock in moisture and maintain richness.

PROTECT FROM UV RAYS: Sun exposure can cause color fading. Protect your hair from UV rays by wearing a hat or using hair products with UV protection when you're outdoors for prolonged periods. This helps to shield your hair from the damaging effects of the sun.

MINIMIZE HEAT STYLING: Excessive heat styling can contribute to color fading. Whenever possible, limit the use of heat styling tools such as flat irons and curling irons. If you do use them, apply a heat protectant spray beforehand and use lower heat settings to minimize damage and color loss.

AVOID CHLORING AND SALTWATER: Chlorine and saltwater can have a drying and fading effect on hair color. Before swimming, wet your hair with clean water and apply a leave-in conditioner or oil to create a barrier against chlorine or saltwater damage. Consider wearing a swim cap or keeping your hair out of the water if possible.

    PRODUCT RECOMMENDATIONS:
